The melody seems a bit flat - but you're getting there!! Sounds Egyptian.

Stardust-Nation responds:

Glad to hear it! And I'll hopefully improve with my next song.

This song is amazing! This is on my favorites page! i the vocals do get a little repetitive after a while - but overall it's amazing. The drums are amazing - Halsey's song is too. Her voice is amazing!

Can you give me some tips on my music so mine can be as good?
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback :)

I sent some general feedback via Sound Cloud.

Weird transitions - at 1;00 it's not even in time. I can barely listen to it.

Stardust-Nation responds:

same bro

I love this song! My only point is that the synths aren't as cool as I though they'd be. The melody is great - really catchy - one of those ones that you can ACTUALLY remember. The cymbal is well placed - but the mixing isn't that great. I love the beats! The chords around 1:20 are amazing! This song should be on Geometry Dash! Bit to loopy - it does get boring near the end. Great song.

What DAW and PlugIns did you use?

jjoon responds:

DJ-Zyzyx responds:

Thank you!!!! :D

If you're lacking for software, try the demos for Reason, Ableton, FL Studio and that kind of thing.

it's good, needs more reverb on everything and SOME DRUMS! It can't be house without drums!! and synths! but you're getting there!!

Stardust-Nation responds:

I do hope so!

It's ok. Not really Electro. Not really ChipTune.
Where are the drums?
From what I can hear, there is 3 what sound like marimbas, and if this is a FatRat song , then you need more.
Just a simple house beat would do the job - that's what TheFatRat uses in his songs/drops.
Your melody is nice, and so's the start, but what you need is that house beat when the second Marimba comes in, then after the third, a chorus, with chords, beats, bass and a build up to a drop. If you want FatRat style.
If you feel that you can't make this on what ever software (DAW) you're using, http://www.looperman.com is a really useful website. (I used it in http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/699618, but you need to give them credit, like I did).

You're getting there - just keep going and if you need help ASK for it. As I found out when I started, the help here on NG is unbelievable, much better than soundcloud or any other of those Social Music Websites. http://www.troisnyx.newgrounds.com is a really helpful person, so if you need anything come to Troisnyx and I.

Good Job, keep going, and don't give up on a song before it's done!

Stardust-Nation responds:

I'm not using a proper production software at all, lol. The percussion is a joke, and the instrument samples are super limited. On top of that, there are exactly zero ways to make any sort of synths or dubstep or any kind of electro. it's merely a sheet-music-creation tool. Anything else comes from Audacity, which is basically just volume balancing, trimming, and rearranging the song. It also helps to convert the wav file from Noteflight into a usable mp3. Is that just about the worst music-making method ever? Probably. What do you recommend? I'm taking a music tech class, and I'm learning a lot, but it's really only for Garage Band, and I cant do that at home.

edit: I'll be sure to check out the link btw. thanks!

I produce Future Bass and Tropical House music! Contact me by email if you want to discuss anything - my adress is on my YouTube channel. Thanks for checking me out!
